Design that starts with who you are.

Led by a builder’s daughter with a background in construction and commercial design, Tidoma Studio blends renovation strategy with emotional clarity—creating spaces that feel as good as they look.

OUR principal designer

Meet Marina Franks

Marina Franks grew up surrounded by floor plans, sawdust, and conversations about load-bearing walls. As the daughter of a contractor, design was always in her world—but not always in the way she imagined.

After beginning her career in commercial interiors, she quickly realized that big-budget didn’t always mean big impact. The work felt impersonal, overly polished and disconnected from the people actually living in the spaces.

In 2018, she pivoted into residential design and everything clicked. It wasn’t about trends. It was about people.

After years designing under design-build firms (where quantity often trumped quality), Marina launched Tidoma Studio to do things differently.

To create spaces that are intentional, sustainable, and deeply personal.

To honor what makes a home feel like home, even if it means remodeling an existing structure instead of starting from scratch.

Our belief: The best homes don’t follow a style, they follow a story.

At Tidoma, we don’t have a signature aesthetic. That’s intentional, because your home should look and feel like you.

Our process starts with who you are, how you live, and what makes a space feel aligned. From there, we bring it to life with visual renderings, construction fluency, and an eye for the kind of details most people overlook.

Whether it’s remodeling existing homes, reimagining a historic property, or designing your first forever home, our work is always rooted in intentional interior design with sustainable solutions and human connection built in.
